Chris Suspect is a DC-area native, known internationally for his high-contrast black-and-white photography that explores the depths of American culture. His most recent project, “Path to Insurrection,” chronicles the four years of Donald J. Trump’s presidency (2017–2021) as seen from the streets of DC, and was published in book form by King Koala Press in Milan, Italy, in 2024. The work was presented as a major exhibit of 119 photographs at Flashback Habitat Museum in Torino, Italy, running for six months. It subsequently traveled to St. Andrews University in Scotland and the Museum of Modern Art in Queretaro, Mexico. The book won photobook of the year earlier this year at the Kerigma Festival in Milan, Italy.

On display will be selected works from projects Suspect has created since 2012, including “Path to Insurrection,” “Truly Blessed,” “Gratuity Included,” “Leather Boyz,” “Old Customs,” and “Suspect Device.” The exhibition will also feature selections from his DC-based street photography, which has garnered numerous awards from photography festivals worldwide, including the Brussels Street Photography Festival, Xposure in the UAE, and the Moment Street Photo Awards in Poland. In addition to mounted work, visitors will see preview prints from upcoming projects: the conceptual “I’ll Be Your Mirror” and the debut of “Mexican Silhouettes". To accompany the exhibit, Suspect will release a limited edition run of 36 T-shirts featuring three designs, each paired with a print of the photograph depicted on the shirt.
